1000th post give away contest

#1

Post by STR »

I've been thinking of a 1000 post give away contest for the members here since I'm coming up here quick on my #1000th post as a member. You guys have been really good to me over the few years I've been a member here. I figured this was a way I can be pretty good right back at ya!

This is open to everyone, including you Sal and Taz and the rest of the :spyder: team.

I won't tell you what it will be. In fact its not quite finished yet but its well on the way. I'm also going to try to span out my replies a bit so I don't hit 1000 too soon because I need a few days to prepare the give away item. I won't say what it is other than this. Its a folder, it will be unique and a one of a kind STR rebuilt folder, and it will be nice! Oh yeah, it has a hole in the blade because it is a Spyderco folder!

I'm thinking of a number between 1 and what? Well, not sure what a safe number is. Lets say 1500 because no one has ever had that many posts in a short time from a thread and I'll certainly hit the magic 1000 number most likely sometime next week so I doubt this will run more than a few days. The contest will end when I hit post #1000 and at that time I'll reveal the number I've picked, inform and congratulate the winner and post pics of the knife I selected as the prize. Guess one time only, and the person with the closest guess to my number without going over it will win the prize. If you are a member here, you are eleigible so pick a number.

Good luck to all. I'll check back tomorrow and off and on over the next few days to see how things are going.

I'm torn.. I was thinking with going with the number 1, much like the winning strategy on the Price Is Right. But after careful consideration I am going to pick the number....

1000

Since that is what we are celebrating after all.

Thanks for doing something fun, and congrats on your accomplishment.
