I have to say that this is one of the best discovery shows I've seen in a long time, is anyone else watching it?

If you haven't caught the one about caves yet, then you MUST see it! The end of the show is a segment on Lechuguilla Cave in New Mexico, truly a masterpiece.

I have been watching them, but I missed the one on Caves. Unfortunatly, I watched my Dallas Stars lose last night due to poor reffing... but that's another topic.

Planet Earth is by far one of the best nature shows I've seen in a long time. The footage is unique to say the least and just down right beautiful.

especially in HD. I have a DVR and I've been recording them and watching.

The Caves episode was amazing. I also enjoy the "behind the scenes" bits at the end of each episode. Those cameramen really put up with a lot of abuse.

I've seen bits and pieces. I can't stand Sigourney Weaver's voice so I can't watch much. :)

I bet it would be awesome in a movie theatre.

This is some of the best TV I have ever seen. We have been DVRing the HD version too.

Seeing it on a large HD plasma just blows you away!

The entire series is available from on DVD including both HD formats. Note: this edition features the original narration by David Attenborough

I have a 53" Sony DHP Rear Projection set that's really nice. It really blows my mind the difference between hi-def and reg-def.

I have enjoyed it so much. I agree, probably the best discovery program I have seen. Just wish I had HD to watch it.

There is a downside to HD.

We have a 50 inch HD plasma and whenever anything with 4 legs is on, my dogs go nuts trying to get at the animal "in the window". It was comical the first few times but they still haven't figured it out....
