I just picked up a NIB Szabofly. It is gorgeous. I hope that the issues can be resolved with the production. I have been using my spyderfly as one of my edc's for along time, and i dont think that the szabo will work its way in unless it becomes a little less rare. But, it took me a few minutes to get used to the difference in the weight as well as the large curve of the safe edge of the blade. It still doesnt move as well as my spyderfly or my other more conventional flies, but it will improve with time. I cannot wait for the G10 small fly.

I love the ergos on it. Still getting the hang of flipping it, the weight is different than anythign i have handled, and the curve of teh back of the blade makes rolls or similar moves a bit tricky. I love butterflies for the simple design and lock strength. This one performs beautifully for that, and still has an extremely usable handle and blade style. I will be posting some pictures as soon as i can get my camera from my fiance. But, I would love to see it go back into production so that i can carry it as an edc. And, i want a pretty numbered one

. oh well. so far i have gotten nothing but good responses from people who have seen me with it...slightly better than my police.

Szabofly just begs to be "pimped." I just got mine back from a passaround, and I'm thinking some serious pimpage is in order. Sure I'll kill the collectibility, but I can't just sit a Bali on the shelf and let it gather dust, it needs to feed :p

What did these sell for, when new? What is one worth today? I am looking for one and have a person that wants to sell me one. I want to make sure I am getting a fair deal.

I got one 2 days ago and I traded it for a NIB Lum Tanto G10 combo-edge. I hope that's any help...

Don't know about current market value but they sold for about 200$ from dealers.

Depends, the original VG-10 one is probably worth $300 or better since only a handful ever got out in the wild. 154CM version would be worth less. I'd guess MSRP, which was around $200, tops and probably a bit less.

Last one I saw was at a knife show and was 154CM. It went for $225 new in tattered box. I have never seen a VG-10 one up for sale. This is one of my favorite knives. It has the same front curve as a manix 2. Lay one over the other and take a look.
