It's a real shame. Before I bought my Sebenza, the Calypso Jr. was my favorite knife, **** it's even sharper out of the box then my Benza. If Sal could just improve it a tad, give it a taller thumb hole, and make the blade 3 inches, he would not have to make a VG-10 version of the Delica. It's a real shame.

Or, take the Delica and give it the Calypso fish scale grip rather than the "volcano" grip.

Also, if I recall correctly, the Delica's and Endura's will be flat saber grind in addition to getting VG-10 steel.

'Bout as close to the Calypso as you can get.

I rather have a VG-10 Worker, plain edge with Carbon Fiber or FRN scales anyday.

Yes, It WILL be missed. It's really to bad that the buying public didn't
understand the elegant design. Most people think a knife has to have a
curved belly or it's not a good knife. That's ok for skinning ,but , for
everyday use the Wharncliff shape wins hands down. That shape was
the basis for the Calypso. Such is the education level of the general
public. What may have helped is adding colors to the FRN handle.
Then again Sal knows his business. Maybe there will be sprint runs
sometime.

I got my new backup Calypso Jr. in the mail yesterday, but I have been waiting on a replacement clip for my first Calypso Jr. for about two months now (they are back ordered). Now that it is discontinued Sal, you are not going to give up on stocking the replacement clips are you?

My Calypso jr will be in my possession in 3 days and $30(paying in chunks)... can't wait to use this baby...

I buy them to use, finding no point in having a toy just to have it sit there.

While the Calypso jr is gone, many, many sweet designs remain(see Chinook, SpydeRench, and Mil... my next 3 purchases [other than the forum model])... Time to save up again.

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

on it ; I paid about half the "list"
price for it, and am glad I did. It
REALLY is a fine knife, and one of
Spyderco's more prolific designs. It will
be missed, especially by those who just
started collecting spydies !
