Just in time and a lot less than some knives that do less. ;)

Thanks for the crytic response Thombrogan! Does anyone know the actual date and price of this knife, it kills me having to wait, but makes it even worse not knowing how long the wait is. Thanks in advance

Are the regular production pieces of the G-10 version even out yet? Spyderco might be waiting to see what the response to that one is like before committing to a more expensive version.

Hi Uncleknife,

I've not heard that it will even be a definate go yet. I know that not too long ago that Sal was carrying a prototype.I tend to agree with Deacon, after all the caly 3 just came out. I think you may have a pretty long wait I'm afraid.

Yes they are! I'm currently EDCing one that I bought about a month ago? No CC# on this one.

It sure is. I wasn't expecting it to be quite that high, and this one was high on my want list. I just don't know if it will fit into the budget this month, but I'd hate to miss out on it. :(

For some reason I was under the impression that it's a Sprint, but that could have been my own imagination rather than something that I read. If it's regular production, I won't feel as bad about waiting a bit to pick one up.

Who knows? If you can't afford one now, but can save up for one, bug a Spyderfriend to buy it and hold it for you.

Placed my order and the waiting begins!

Well, it's not so much a question of whether I can afford is as whether I should afford it right now.

Either way, looks like a great knife, and I look forward to seeing some photos and reviews. :)

You can thank me. I placed a NGK order last night after making sure the Caly3 CF ZDP wasn't in yet. :)

Oh well, it's only another $6.95 for shipping...

Make that 44 in stock at NGK. Thanks, Uncle Mike; I was actually searching for this very knife earlier today so it must have just come up on the NGK website. Just ordered one myself. I've been carrying a VG-10/G-10 version for 2 weeks and already love the Caly 3 design so much that ordering this CF version was an easy decision, even at the price. I'll live without something else if I can have one of these. I assume this is ZDP clad inside 420J2, somewhat like my ZDP Caly Jr.? (Subtlely different blade shape of course, more belly on the Caly 3 and no swedge grind like the ZDP Caly Jr).

Hmmm...

For me its not about whether I should afford one - that's a foregone conclusion...

- and as to whether I can afford one, the question is how can I not afford to get one ? :D
