Is it possible to cut down/shorten and re-shape the ends of the pocket clips, so that they don't show as much when in the pocket, and would be completely hidden by a belt when in the waist band?

I also meant to ask- will the clip snap if I try to bend it, after cutting some of it off? If I heat it up with a torch, will it discolour ot damage it?
