I have only recently started collecting Spydies but I have found them to be a perfect companion for my SureFire E2 this is one awesome light!!

Before you say ... that maybee but its very expensive!

Please just check one out I guarantee as soon as you pick one up you will just have to have one!!!!



It makes a perfect companion for my SS Rookie plain and Native plain!

That Mouse is a neat looking little knife. It's a Wegner design, too.

thx Jeff - the Mouse is a great looking little knife - a pity it's a bit pricey.

I carry a NightBuster 8X with my Endura and BM 730 at work. It's a little bigger, but I have plenty of space to pack it in. It's much smaller than the MagLight I used to carry, but the light output is probably a bit more and batteries are much easier on the pocket. The only shortcoming it has is in the grip dept., as it is pretty smooth and hard to hold onto wet. I just need to pick up some grip tape sometime and put a few pieces on and I'll have that fixed though.

I have 2 Surefires, a very old (6 years) 6P I bought locally in Melbourne, about $120 back then - and a 3P I bough on a trip to the US last year.

I have not found anyone in Australia selling them at anywhere near acceptable pricing eg AUD$200 for the E1 - which retails at about USD$50 in the US !!!

I am about to order some more Surefire gear, so have looked around a bit - and taken notice of comments on the Surefire forum - the service & prices (& reasonable freight charges) from

seem pretty good - but I'd say the Surefire DIscussion Board is a good place to do your own fact (or opinion) finding.

Not sure if you're in KL or Sydney at the moment, but when I called Australian Customs they basically told me that they didn't charge duty on items under AUD $200 in value - if the items cam in via mail, but often the DHL/FedEx/UPS type outfits would get charged duty & GST :-(

Thanks for the tips mrb and caleo....i saw a 6P at Mick Smith's gun shop for $160....and was considering buying either that or the E2......which one do you guys recommend?

Hy,

I really like my old 6P, the two lamp options (P60 - 65 lumens/60 min runtime or P61 120 Lumens/20 min runtime) is very good, as it the more "standard" size if you need spares, accessories etc.

Since I got the 3P (now discontinued) I leave the 6P in the car, and carry the 3P with me all the time, hoping to get an E1 as well soon for EDC.

I don't have an E2, but have handled one, I like it, but personally prefer the 6P.

I have a ne 6P(black) and an E2(hard anodised).
The 6P has a slightly brighter hot spot and has an oval beam!
The E2 is nearly as potent but has a perfectly round beam!
but the size and look of the E2 is awesome it really is a great looking light and that is hat makes it one of surefires most popular.
The E1 is only slightly smaller but has a very dim beam.
to ship an E2 or 6P from arizonagunrunners.com usually costs me no more than $150.00 and takes no more than 4 eeks.
thats about $50.00 cheaper than anyhere ive found in OZ.
and takes the same time !!!!!

Caleo and mrb....i've found that Kenmax in sydney is selling the E2 and 6P for $150 and 160 resepectively....they also say that they have all the accessories. I might give them a try as they have stock and it only costs $5.50 for next day delivery.
