I want to put in a bid for the large, plain edge Spyderco/Moki (900EVP) being auctioned on Ebay by 1stopknifeshop. I'm hoping someone here can give me an idea of the original MSRP of these so that I don't end up making a fool of myself and paying more than the knife is worth. The only other thing I've ever bought at auction was my last car and I watched people paying thousands more for cars than they were worth when they got caught up in the thrill of the "chase". BTW I know the SFO still has the schimshawed versions of these knives, but do they still have any of the plain ones?
TIA,
Clay

Hi Clay,
Found the last pricing we had on this one in a January 1997 catalog/price list. MK900PEV Moki Evrina had a MSRP of $183.95.

Clay - We'ver got some around with and without scrim. You want plain or teeth?
I'm sure we can "do you right on price". We discontinued them long ago. Evrina is not longer being made, so no one can complain about what we may charge.

Sal you've made my day. My daily use involves a lot of sharpening pencils and working with wood so I'm really only interested in plain edge. The larger model looks like the perfect knife for me to take to work without causing undue alarm (it is illegal to carry a knife in a school :)) and still be big enough to be useful.
Joyce, is that what you call "going postal" :).
Take care,
Clay

Sal, any luck? Should I email Angela directly? Sorry to hassle you but my family have told me to stop pacing up and down in front of the computer :).
Take care,

Hi Clay. Managed to get a price yesterday. Am now checking to see just how many we have. Maybe others might be interested. I can sell product here, which might be considered tacky at BF.
Want to make sure we actually have any before I say more. should know tomorrow.

Thanks Sal, my newly polished floor thanks you also . I think you may well have some other takers as the subject has already been raised at BF.
Cheers,
Clay
I've got a signature but can't post it

Hi Clay. We only had one large plain edge Moki Evrina left in inventory. I snagged it for you. Brand new in the Spyderco pouch.
Here's the deal. $50 to you + shipping to your part of "our rock". Not for resale. You'll have to contact Olive (
DraperO@aol.com) to work out the details.
BTW, this particular piece has one of Linda Karst's beautiful Scrimmed Tigers (50 made). We'll throw that in for all of your great support in the Spyderforums.
Please let Olive know if your're still interested.

Sal,
"If I'm still interested". Mate, if I was any keener I'd be on the next flight to Golden . Our house was burgled yesterday, lost a bit of stuff mostly replaceable by insurance but also some jewellery with sentimental value (didn't take my knives though ). Anyway, this is just the news I needed to cheer me up. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to return the favour either "down here" or on the forums.
Thanks again,
Clay
