Hi, I just started college, SUNY Purchase, and read a few posts that seemed like they might have been some college students on the forum. I was wondering how many and what university? Over the summer I got a Delica and have fell in love with the Clip-it. I'm thinking about a Dyad so I'll have both kinds of blades in one knife, but I will have to wait Dyads are kind of expensive. Anybody have/use one? Do you like it? Thanks.

Thanks RYAN, I did not know there was a Dyad jr. until you told me and i found it on the product section (but not directly below the Dyad) that would certanly be within my price range.

I am a freshman at Southern New Hampshire University. I like the idea of the dyad but have never held one of them. I recently got the Calypso jr. and i love it. Along with my EDC harpy.

I finish up in 5 weeks from Tusculum College. I did take an 8 year break from school to join the Military during Desert Storm and become a full-time police officer after that. Have been working full time and goign to school full time for the last 2.5 years. Not to mention having a family.

I should have stayed in school.

Hey Freshman. I'm currently in the local community college in Utica, NY. I bought my dad a Dyad Jr. and he loves it.

I am a junior at St. Louis University here in St. Louis, MO. The dyad is a great little knife, very useful little bugger.

I'm *still* at Uni part-time - I've been studying part-time since '91.

First did a Bachelor of Business, and now finishing a LLB.

I agree with shootist16 - should have done it full time when I was younger ;-)

LLB stands for Bachelor of Laws......Its the equivalent of the JD in the US......the US and Canada are the only countries (i think)....that requires one to have an undergrad degree before doing a law degree. In Australia and England,we can do a law degree straight after high school/college....so the structure is LLB, LLM..then a SJD/PhD As opposed to the US where you have to do a BA, JD, LLM and then a SJD. Hope this helps to clear the confusion...<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Welcome Freshman,

I am not a college student. I really like my Mini Dyad w/micarta handle. It is a little clumsy to open one-handed and almost uncomfortable in tight jeans (,no jokes please!,) because of it's width.

I love everything else about it. It is very handy and I carry it often for utilitarian-type chores.

Take care,

stu

ftkinney, very confusing isnt it?......and have you noticed that more and more people are having postgrad qualifications......to the point where it seems rather insignificant....you should see the looks on the faces on some of these high powered corporate people when i take my calypso jr out before class and start fiddling with it...hehehehhe

Oh yeah, bear in mind the Dyad Jr. (FRN handle) has no pocket clip.
