30 knives for $99.00 - A real bargain?

So I was flipping through channels and found the Knife Collection show. Run by Frost Cutlery. They had such crazy bargains. I was laughing through most of it, I recommend watching as the 2 guys try to sell these huge sets of knives. He kept talking about the 440 steel handles and blades. Probably 440A not C. It was interesting to see. I guess some just buy a new knife when it breaks instead of spending a little more on a better knife, just buy another.

Funniest was the Delica rip off design with a arch and flat bottom opening hole. He said "there's another knife on the market with this design that costs you upwards of $40 dollars and here is one thats just as nice for $1-$2 a piece. It made me laugh.

Check it out sometime. :)

This kind of thing is another reason why I feel humanity is in the toilet and spiraling.

What kind of human being can face his conscience when selling that kind of garbage and taking people's money for it, and can LIE about how it is just as good as a quality product?

And the world is full of these kinds of scumbags, and it's full also of the kinds of people who will defraud elderly people out of the money they have saved for their "golden years" with nary a moment's regret or pause. It's sickening how greed now runs the world. Was it ever different? Was there ever a time when people actually lived good, honorable lives, on the whole? I guess maybe not. There have always been criminals, always been greedy evil people. But they seem sooooo much more prevalent nowadays.

I did call a couple times, once to ask if they had the ok to use the round hole and another time to ask if they had permission from CRK to copy a Sebenza.
They got really mad both times. :)

I still cannot figure if he was serious or trying to be funny. It looks like the guy took a hard hit...but I can't see that junk being very sharp either.

I have a buddie that sometimes comes to this very forum that deals with Frost knives. He does buy those super sets and sells them in his store (bait & tackle) for dirty cheap, and people buy them up. There has been a couple Frost knives I have played with that actually weren't to bad for the money, I guess.

Talk about getting what you pay for. My friend bought a bunch of those knives. He sold them for $1.50. Took him a couple of years of selling. He sold them with his own warranty. Needless to say, he's still getting them returned to him the money back warranty. :)

"Just the tip" my a$$. That thing broke in half. I'd like to watch the rest of the show, just to see if he's a little more careful about what he does with the crap he's pushing. Thanks for posting this, it's awesome, and gives more strength to my steel-snobbery! :D
Ask me where I got my awesome SUPERHAWK!

More like Mid-Cal now

man, that guy doesn't seem very smart, then again I guess that's why isn't a brain surgeon. And I love how the big guy was trying to make it seem alright, but the other guy kept going oooh, that got me good!

Sounds like a waste. Benjamin Franklin would thank you if you spent him on a quality knife.

This reminds me of a friend of mine. He was so excited: "look I found a Damascus Maxam folder for 3$! Now that's a bargain!" I felt almost pity to spoil all his enthusiasm :o
