Awesome!!!!
Lerman,
All I have to say is: AWESOME!!! Seriously...you've got real talent...I really like your use of shading...(something I'm going to have to start doing on my drawings!)
I'm not sure that they are for Spyderco, however, I can definitely see them existing and selling in the current knife market!
Please, scan and post more designs as well as your finished pieces!
What do you use for your art tools and for making the real things?
Thanks!
-Tim :D

those are well rendered, i myself have become to reliant on technology and rarely put that much finish into pencil drawings i do these days.

Lerman,
You have about a 10 year head start on me! LOL! I haven't made any attempt to get materials or tools to make my own knives yet...I'd like to, but have bills to pay! LOL, the downside to being an adult!
Keep up the good work...very nice renderings...looks like you have a great mind for design and technical drawing...a dangerous combo in my book!
I am working on a couple of designs that I will eventually submit to spyderco...I just have to get the "bugs" worked out first. :D
Feel free to PM me anytime about designs, questions, whatever! I will try and get something scanned that I can show you, too.
And always, keep drawing!!!

Really nice designs Lerman, sleek lines but very usable.
I'v seen factory knives that don't look half as good.
Don't be afraid to try to make them.
You don't really need a lot of expensive tools, not even for making folders.
The tight fit of the blade and the guard on your Bowie tells you like to do a good job.
That is the right attitude.

I dont like the recurve knives (not a fan of that blade shape) but that last knife looks really nice/elegant--I like it a lot. :)
In the first 3 knife designs I see what looks like a fin on the top of the blade. Whats the purpose of that? If it is design as a thumb ramp, it doesnt look very comfortable. Is it for style? Another cutting edge?
EDIT I forgot to say the most important thing: stay persistant! if for whatever reason these knives dont make it, keep trying. In my opinion you have a lot of potential.
