HARPY problems

well i bought a harpy with g-10 handles and its the sweetest knive i currently own. im looking at the calypso jr though. but thats not the issue at hand. The clothing clip got caught on something and bent on me. so i took it off and bent it back. Then i tried to screw it back in and it worked for a little but it never has been the same tightness as before. So i dont feel comfertable carrying it becuase i dont wanna loose it but i hate not having a EDC knife. Anyone got any suggestions?

They usually have a selection of replacement clips for a small fee. Also they recommend using a very small drop of non-hardening Loctite on the threads when tightening the srews.
Good luck, Its a great knife, worth getting it back in service.

I would say that the clips don't cost much. I would order 2 replacements from spyderco just in case it happens agian. the only time this happened to me was on my SS pro Grip but it was as tight as ever when bent back becuase of the insert in the clip

i accually had the same problem with my ss pro grip as well...i will call spyderco and ask about extra clips, and ill try the loctite for now

I have the same problem when getting up from my chair in my garage. The clip snags on the chair and bends out. So I take it off and bend it back. Don't have loctite but my daughters nail polish works just as well.

Well, I think I can at least let the evil Hannibal know how long this great knife is
6 1/2" OAL
or about 16cm OAL

Well, sometimes I cheer for the bad guy myself, so I think we can at least let the evil Hannibal know how long the great HARPY is, no? The OAL is 6 1/2", or should I say approximately 16 cm-

Well, sometimes I cheer for the bad guy myself, so I think we can at least let the evil Hannibal know how long the great HARPY is, no? The OAL is 6 1/2", or should I say approximately 16 cm-

save for the FRN handles
and the serrations seem to be deeper?

Hm. Well thanks anyway. But when I take a look at the Merlin and Harpy here, I do see a slight diffence. Don't ask me what it might be. It could be just the shape of the handle.
