I just bought a white Photon 3 micro light for me and my girl. These things are great!!!!! They light up a room better then most full size flashlights. Here are some specs.

-Comes in 6 colors, 3 dim, 3 bright

YES!!! Everyone needs one of these as much as everyone needs a good folder in the pocket. I've been carrying Photon 2's for many years and have always been comforted by the fact that I won't get trapped in the dark. Recently I picked up the Photon 3 and designated it for primary pocket carry. My others have been retired to other handy places. Really...YOU NEED ONE (or 3).

I have had a photon ll for 2 yrs have not had too replace battery yet. Salesman said it would burn nonstop 7 days on 1 battery.Really good,realy bright,tiny flashlight.

I´ve had a Photon II (white) attached to my Military via the laynard hole for some time now. Great combo!!

However, there is a new attender out there: Arc Light AAA. Runs with the most common AAA cell instead of the (expensive) Lithium ones used in Photon lights.

The Photon displays 18.000 lumen the first 2-5 minutes and then it drops to 16.000 and continues dropping and dropping in to the very end.

The Arc Light features an automatic sun/moon mode. This means: The regulated inverter is designed to provide an automatic sun/moon mode. When the batteries are fresh, the light will regulate itself to be as bright as possible. When the batteries are nearly depleted, the regulator will switch the inverter into a low power mode to provide a small amount of light for the remainder of the battery life.

Without this feature, the light would simple shut off or fade very quickly once the battery was nearly depleted. Although moon mode is very dim, it does provide some light- maybe enough to get you back to camp, out of a cave or a dark building, etc.

This feature is designed into all Arc flashlights. With the Arc-AAA for example, sun mode is about 5 hours and moon mode is about 6 hours.

The Arc is made of high impact aluminum, waterproof to 3 feet.

I also have a Photon light,and adore its small size, weight, an colors.
But....
I like another tiny LED light. I actually perfer it. It's made my ASP, and is actually brigher than the photon light. It comes in white, blue, and an evil looking red. It's made from aluminum that is red, blue, silver, and gold.
They're great...like I said, just as bright if not brighter than a photon light. It's also the same price. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
One other thing: Instead of the key ring, it has a snap, that makes it easy to take it off and put in on things if you want to switch, but won't actidentally come off.
Do a search, I think you'll like 'em to <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Photons make great zipper pulls and are great for finding keyholes in the dark, but I wouldn't use it for anything else. Increadibly bright for its size.

...and i'm fresh out of bubblegum.
