Ok so this thorn has surfaced at least on two seperate occasions in the knife forum world so I went and purchased one. :o
It is an interesting little Delica sized blade.
First we have the box which says Pirka...even though it says Pilica elsewhere...

Kind of a Delica/Hunter hybrid...I discovered I like FRN handles and Kraton inserts...very light yet very soft grippy (less likely to give caluses to my city tender hands vs. volcano FRN grip.)

Old School car paint considerate clip

Obligatory size reference pic vs a Police as that was what was in my pocket at the time...

The Caly Jr. is a few mm longer. Same grind but the Pirka is more upswept. The steel is AUS-8, considering the steel a Delica is a far better deal in terms of steel and price.

It is only supposed to be sold in Japan, "somehow" it made it over here.

Thanks for the pics Zen! Looks sweet. Caly Jr. crossed with Pro Grip and it reminds me on the Ironstone Flat Iron Folder as well. Lets say its lil brother..
What was your price for it, if I may ask Zen?
Thanks. :D

Thanx for the pics, especially from the box. I'll add this one to my list, since it is a real Spyderco model (Spyderco stamped etc.)
Really nice blade shape also! Can you get more of these - I wouldn't mind one...

Thanks for the pics. The knife is neat, but as I said in a previous thread, I like the "K" more - same handles, but with a more Delica(te) blade

Hi Ted,
http://www.montbell.com/ I'll let you pick english or japanese... :p
The price was $69 which is to much vs. the Delica, but this IS the Pilica... :p

Too bad they do not ship internationally. This would be a nice conversation piece for the collection :)
Cheers, Rob

Zen,
70 bucks is pretty OK price for a curiosity like this. Imagine that in a couple of years this could go for X-hundreds of dollars maybe..
Just look at the ZDP-189 Calypso Jr. rocketing prices.
I think its still available, ´cause many people dunno that it even exists.
IMO, it is stamped spyderco, ergo it is a real spyderco, just not listed in the official paperwork (catalogs, etc.)
Ted,
will you attach this one to your web as well?

Hi Ted, Oh I have imagined...it all depends on if the Spyderco puts a stop on the importation...since the model wasn't supposed to sell here. However, it is starting to make little difference, as a person can order most Spydies from Japan nearly as easily, not to mention several that aren't sold here.
My web? I already bought it so I'm not sure what you ya mean...

Brian
Kinda funny as there has been at least three other threads (2 here, 1 in bladeforums) that I am aware of on the subject, yet many are still unaware. I guess since the others lacked pictures...
Even though it is pretty "old school", I like the handle. I imagine it really grips well in the pocket preventing accidental pocket escape. Although I'm sure some would find this pocket grip annoying. :p
