At the risk of sounding ignorant...what's a Lynx? Aside from a small woodland cat.

The Lynx is the former name of new Spdyerco knife that everyone is waiting for with bated breath -- many turning blue. It is designed by Tim Wegner, strongly resembles the Wegner model, and, I believe, has the compression lock.

The name apparently has to be changed because somebody else uses it for a knife. News never comes quickly enuff for those waiting none too patiently.

Having said that, SAL! Please! Just a bone to gnaw on.

I have been holding off buying a Wegner C48 for a while now.The reason is I like a knife who's handle incorporates an index finger choil.Something like a Calypso Jr. (which I own).

Lynx is it........

mark1955 -- your point is well taken. However, there is another fact to consider.

While I trust the liner lock on the Wegner as well an any out there, should that lock fail, the Wegner has an almost 1" ricasso that is what will come in contact with your finger(s) and avoid any cuts. Haven't seen any other that strikes me as being that safe, so far.

But, I think I want a Lynx too.
