i was just under the shower as at this time of the morning the doorbell rang..

of course i had to jump out instantly, knowing that it only could be the postman to bring me my BRANDNEW SPYDERCO POLICE PE!!!

wow, what a folder! long blade, great handle, NICE opening-sound (classic as a zippo..), and what surprises me, its not as heavy as one would think..

happy, happy, happy, i am going to zurich today for christmas-shopping, i am looking forward to carry my new piece with me..

What a great way to put it. They do have a distintive sound, don't they?

Glad you like your Police, enjoy.

thanks mate!

yeah, been used to my harpy and the one which was lost and its name forgotten, the police really has got the "sounds"-attribute to it.. wow!

actually one of these days i was looking at the website from mercworx and their fixed blades, thinking, i was gonna get one of these too one day, but now that i have such a huge folder.. what for?

i will keep on having a smile on my otherwise depressed face today!! this is a COOL knive that is..!

Congratulations on your new fine knife. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I still think the Police is one of Spyderco's best folders ever made. I love the serrated version (seems to me that knife is begging for serrations), but that's just me. ;)

i actually do agree with you on the serrations actually, but since i already got the harpy serrated.. i had to get one knive plain at least.. ;)

and i think for outdoors/camping use a PE is not that bad, i imagine cutting branches and cutting tips to sticks to put a sausage on, preparing food, opening packages of whatever.. stuff like it. and for opening letters is plain much better! (somehow i have to make it up that i am not too disappointed about the serrations.. :D )

that thing is even sharp enoug to shave i just found out!

I don't want to rain on your parade, but onehand-openers are a NO-NO in your beautiful country so watch out when you carry one.

stay safe

Hannes

ps for me the C07 is the absolut Spyderco Classic

i was just visiting my parents, also showing off my latest purchase..

my mum is working for the federal government, police- and jail related business. guess what she just said: get lost with that one and dont get yourself caught with it, you need a guncarry-licence.. :D

@hannes: how do you know so well, got caught with one yourself? stupid laws, i can walk around with a pump action, but not with a knive.. f**k that!!

Congrats swissknife

When I first opened my SS Police it locked up so hard that I felt it through my whole hand.

I bought mine before I discovered serrations, so I think I'll have to buy a serrated version one day.

Of all the spydies that I have, my SS Police/PE is still my son's favourite knife ;)

i just read up on our stuuuuuuuuuuuupid gun laws..

you know, as a swiss men (most do military service) you have an automatic assault rifle staying home with you for as long as you have to do repetitive courses until your service is finished. so in my cubbard lays this: Image

but i am not allowed to carry my :spyder: with me because it can be opened with one hand (thank god you can, otherwise i would never ever have looked at spyderco in the first place.. ;) )??

with the rifle you can shoot precise to about 300m (when you are good at), so from my balcony there is pretty much drop zone around.. but i am not allowed to carry my short range SD and handy tool, but HAVE to have a long distance attack weapon on my back? so, how hippocrit is this?

I agree! I bought my CF Police with the serrated edge. It just seemed that this :spyder: classic design had to have a serrated edge to make it "right"

yes but this was once said about our country in regards to a firearm in every home, Admiral Yamamoto told Prime Minister Tojo, "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass."

you cannot win a war of any kind without winning the hearts and minds of the occupied populace. this is would be a major deterrent for your invading your country. when boy scouts become guerrillas and such. very effective deterrent. but still stupid knife laws.

pretty much, copilot.. :D

yeah, i think next one must be a civilian.. does that one only come in g-10? titaniums were a sprint run.. :(

how is that g-10 stuff anyway? i just like the plain, cold steel or other sort of metal better than "plastics".. thats just my first impression about it. dont really have the chance to check one out myself, must order..

You will be satisfied by your purchase.
I carry A C07Se since 2 years. A third hand.
But sharpening this knife is hard, if you want a razor edge.
