Perfect EDC, "The one?"

Greetings you all :)
After having a fair collection of Spyders, I still can't decide what's "the one" for me  .
I thought I found it with the Military/SE. Although it's a great knife, it's not "the one" for me. The Pacific Salt/SE followed; great, but not "the one" either. After that I thought the Para/SE could be it. Carried it for a whole week straight. Right now I have been carrying "just" a FRN Delica/SE since tuesday.
I'm still looking for a Spyder that will NEVER leave my pocket

.
Are there anymore of you who are still looking for "the one" or are there any of you who have found it?
Just curious....

The Tasman Salt comes closer to an all-purpose EDC for me than any other knife. I am so anxious to see these knives hit the market and get in forumites' hands! Regardless of what else I might carry, the Tasman has not left my side since I received it for testing.

For an all purpose EDC, I still have not found "the one" quite yet.
There are two knives I carry everyday, but neither would be considered "general purpose" The Gunting and Dodo are always on me, but both are a little specialized(though to be honest theres not much the Dodo can't do)
I'm like you, still searching for the one knife that meets all of my needs.

Thus far, I would have to say that my Lil'Temp is "the one" for me. It has great ergos, perfect blade length, built like nothing else and a very solid lock. Perfect EDC for me!!
I can't say eneugh about this knife. I'm in Love :o

Caly Jr. Perfect in every way. I pulled the clip off and just let it ride at the bottom of the RF pocket. VG-10 is great, the handle shape could not be better, and it weighs next to nothing so you never notice it until you need it. Perfect EDC.

In my opinion, any configuation of the plain old delica will do the job and do it well. I have a PE FRN delica that is the best EDC knife I've ever seen. Overall knife size, blade size, blade shape, ergonomics, everything just seems to fit.

The one for me turns out to be a Salt I PE. I'm using it in work every day and it gets washed constantly so the H-1 is ideal.

As for me, the perfect EDC would have to be A Caly Jr, but a little bit longer like 3/4 of an inch...
Simon
That's it... No, G-10, or super ZDP or color... Just a tad longer so I don't get juice in pivot when I cut a tomato...

I have been EDC-ing the C-44 big Dyad since March and I have no desire to quit anytime soon either. Now understand that is mainly my everyday work knife. With one fully serrated blade about the size of the one on the Rescue and a stealthy, pointed plain edged blade you have the perfect combination for everyday duties.
I do however have a sidekick. It is the Burgundy, ZDP-189 Calypso Jr. This knife has changed my attitude on EDCs completely. When you got the best what else needs to be said. :spyder:

Of the many knives that I have collected, I still keep going back to the original Chinook.

I agree completely! I've left the clip on as I do carry it clipped to my pocket, but changed it so I could carry it in my left front pocket. For me it's the perfect edc. :)

well, the ss pe 'fly has been carried since aug 20, 2001... think I'm getting close to a record, esp the hours I've logged on it carrying in a kydex rig 24/7/365 the last 3yrs.
next to that is the serrated cricket and leaf blade lil temp. should see my jeans from the horns on my lil temp.

The caly jr. is my favorite all around carry too. If I wasn't worried about laws, I'd go with my mili.

I carry a SS Calypso Jr. PE and a Spur CE. Not quite comfortable carrying just one. Maybe because I'm addicted to spydercos. I have to admit the SS Caly does the job for me, if I only had to carry the one. Now I'm going to purchase the Mini Manix, and cant wait. Spydercos are like potato chips and sunflower seeds... you can't just have one. You Have To Admit, The Spydercos are Addicting.

The closest thing to perfect I had carried was a SS Rookie PE. Thing is , I didn't come to that conclusion until after I traded it ! Now, it has become part of my daily routine searching for one.All in good time...

As of now it's the Delica, only because it's tip up carry. If the Calypso came tip-up it would be the one. Still dreaming of the day.
