Ferret,
I met Patti (lokelani) today at SFO. She mentioned she IS signed on to Spyderco Forum but has been busy looking for home/apartment etc and learning the products etc at SFO. In addition to looking forward to her first real Colorado winter in twenty two years!!! LOL

PS She MAY be lurking this weekend though!

From Golden, Colorado and the knife cuts HAVE caught up to the paper cuts :)

John - is it really cold in Colorado? If I'm to visit, what are your recommendations?

Samo,
Right now it's around 80 - 85 degrees F. Sunny.
At night it's getting down to the 50's.
When winter starts it runs generally in the 20's - 30's at night and anywhere from 30's to 70's during daytime.
When it snows it can be from an inch or two to 6 feet!! REALLY!!!
Humidity is very low in Colorado so it doesn't seem that cold here. Not like say Chicago or the east coast of the U.S.Snow doesn't usually last on the roads for more than a day or so in the Denver metro area.
I do recommend SUNGLASSES all year round. When there is snow on the ground and sunny, it's bright out! And at the higher altitude here a hat is good to protect you from sunburn. Also your Spyderco hat and T-shirt! LOL

Thanks a million for the info John! I can do with the Spydie shirts, not sure about hats 'cos I'm not a hat man. No worries about the Sun because I got my Oakleys! I get burned everyday here in Malaysia. Planning a trip to Golden in Mid-Nov after covering an assignment in Mesa, Arizona. Guess a visit to the SFO will be the highlight of my trip to the US. Oh yeah, really missed the postings by Lokelani! She's the coolest and most informative Vaihinee on the BF Spyderco forum!

Greetings Amigos!
Here I am :D
John's right-on with how busy I have been since I arrived in Colorado. I found a house to rent a few days ago and still need to find transportation. Aside from that, I have been busy learning all new procedures, here at SFO, from Angela and Christina. They are definitly both a pleasure to work with.
Weather is still nice, but I am prepared for a cold winter
Look forward to chatting with you all on the forums.
As always,
Aloha~
Patti

G'day Patti,

I'm glad everything is working out well for you in Colorado. It's great to have you back on the forum. Speaking of cold winters, I'm about to apply for a year's teacher exchange in Canada .

Take care,

Clay

I guess a Rambler without a windscreen will be way too cold there Glad to hear things are sorting themselves out

Good to be back. Seems that I'm not the only one on the move. Change is good, yeah? Good luck on your application.
Ferret~
How goes the Olympics? Keeping you pretty busy, I'm sure. Date still set for March?
Colorado is beautiful. Just have to get used to being surrounded by states instead of water
Samo~
Thankx for the kudos. But, there are ladies here on the forum that have a lot more knowledge about Spyderco than I. But, I do try hard
Aloha~

Patti,
It's "Howdy Pardner" or "Later Dude" here in Colorado! Or if you're in Boulder, Colorado it's "Which way to the beach?"
So as not to confuse anyone, I'm attempting "humor" - Colorado IS a LANDLOCKED state!!!
LOL

I sold the '65 Rambler before I left the islands. Somebody else can have the pleasure of finding a windshield for it
Samo~
Look forward to meeting you when you pass by our way.
Joh~
It's going to take awhile before the islands wear off of this wahine. So, for now, I'll compromise with you.......
Aloha Dudes and Dudettes~

Hi Brian~
Good to hear from you. Been rather busy learning new procedures, etc. Just unpacked my computer from Hawaii. It's getting networked in next week. So, I'll have everyones email addresses again
Still warm and sunny in Colorado.
Aloha~
