I just recently purchased the blue Yojimbo pictured below and was wondering about the number '110' marked on the blade. Is this knife from the first production batch? Cheers.

Spyderco numbers the first 200 units produced for collectors. Many make it to secondary market. Some unsubscribed numbers are held by dealers and sold either at regular prices or more usually, a slight premium.
Congratulations.

I don't mean to be disagreeable but only up to 200 for collectors? Then how come I have several and I mean well over 40 Spyders with collector numbers well over 500 in a lot of cases. Don't get me wrong I am not trying to start an argument but it would seem to me that some of them might even accomodate as many as 1000 collectors. For instance I once had a 440V Gunting that had number 868 on it

Some very early models have production # on them. The :spyder: collectors club has only 200 members. NGK has 4 or 5 # pieces, and if you are lucky or ask WAY in advance you might score a SCC knife
