Ladybug - small knife - big cut.

As well as working out on site I’m increasingly working in the office . I needed a knife that would fit into the office environment and wouldn’t scare the many sheeples there, enter the Ladybug.

Today I’m out on site and need to cut some sight lines through some fir trees for the survey instrument. Unfortunately because I had come straight from the office the only knife I have with me is the Ladybug. Getting down to work I was amazed at how capable the Ladybug was, on the smallest branches (pinkie finger size), the bug went straight through them like they weren’t there, and even the bigger branches 2 or 3 passes was all it took.

It may look as though it is only big enough to open cardboard boxes, but it makes one **** of a pruning tool.

Sublime,

Buy it for her as a tool, and don't even come close to mentioning protection. If she is anything like my wife, once she's had it for a week she won't know how she ever lived without it. Do try to discourage her from using it to make peanut butter sandwiches though, it takes for ever to get the gunk out of the mechanism <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>.

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow, in Australia it's tomorrow already.

Hi Sub.
If you really want to avoid the protection issue you could go with the Ladybug II with it's sheep foot blade style. Although to be honest the needle point on the original is extremly useful.

On the other hand, if you WERE trying to sneak in a self defence knife you could always attach it to a steel kobutan and try calling it a traditional Japanese love token ;-))
