Got these from the one and only CKE last week. I am the ONLY person in Hawaii who owns not just one, but FIVE CKE Custom Lanyards!
Check out the detail and work put into these...incredible. Thank you Craig, for the time and effort you put aside for me. BTW, thanks also for that thread on how to tie that Monkey Fist!
Man, and here I thought knife designing was hard! :p
God bless and yes, the hard part is figuring out which knives will wear a CKE Custom! Mahalo Craig!
Always,
Chad

Excellent work Craig!!! Use them in good health Chad! Think the blue/green would look very elegant on the Almite Walker. Have to try that style myself. Was pretty good at it fifty odd years ago with the plastic lacing stuff. But that was sort of flat, imagine it's "a bit" more difficult to do neatly with round cord.

Hey Paul!
Hmmmmmm, I think you'll be able to do it as this type of para flattens pretty easily. However, if some level of firmness is required for what ya used to do, then... Nah, I say you still will be able to make it!
Me, OTOH...no way!
God bless

Thanks guys.
Chad it was my pleasure, I have been to **** and back in the last few months(not yours and jims **** though ) and you have been a great friend. It was the least I could do :) Glad you like them. The green/blue was one of my favs too, I think it looks great. Take Care!!!
I'll second the blue/OD one for an almite handle. I've admired CKE's knotwork since I first saw it a few months back. Can't remember the thread but, it should be BTT, with all the interest in Dr. Snubnose's thread.
CKE,
Did you use a load for the Monkey' Fist?
I've tried a regular size dice myself, but found I prefer (on small cord like the para) to go without.
Also, do you have any examples of the "Cobra Stitch" or the "King Cobra Stitch"?
I tried one once with a Monkey's Fist, and am not sure I did it right.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Ghostrider...for my Monkey Fists I use a 3/4 size alley(marble) for the load. I have some made out of plastic which is nice, it holds the shape but does not add any weight. I have only been using Canadian paracord for my fists, I am having a heck of a time getting it nice and tight with regular paracord(US) I keep trying though.
Never heard of those other knots..at least not by those names. I will look into them.
Thanks again folks!!!
Take Care :)
That last one is the cobra stitch, right? Or is it the King Cobra? I followed directions from boondogleman.com(sp) but it doesn't look like you did the same. They said that it takes two working ends and one other end to tye around. How did you do it. If you respond, you should probably PM me.

Hey CKE, those are cool! I've seen about 4 of something like these that the Marines are wearing over here that look really similar. The Gurkhas made them for a few people using 550 cord and a DCU button! Keep up the good work my friend, Ray.
