the surefire E1E and E2E are great lights
the LED models are great too (E1L, E2L, L4 etc)

the X5 is good - very solid and a nice flood light - good for about ten metres
but the runtime is excellent - about 20 hours

Longbow mini and micra a great lights

only problem with the lights i have mentioned is that they use CR123s

although the 2cell surefires can use Pila Lion rechargeables
power is nothing without control

One that I picked up at Wal-Mart was a Garrity, single LED one. Runs on 3 AAA's. It's got an aluminium barrel, comes with red and blue lens in a nylon case w/belt loop. Suprisingly good light for not a lot of money. I have mine in my daypack. Range is a little short - 25 ft, but it's a pretty concentrated beam. It's about 4.5 inches long, so it may be a bit on the large size.

Hope this helps - gord

Here's my EDC. Fits just fine on my keys (though it does have a nice head-down pocket clip, unlike the sketchy E1e clip). Also comes with a clickie with momentary. It's a Vital Gear FB1 body and a Surefire KL4 5 watt head. About 65-70 lumens. Not much throw, but huge flood. If you want throw do the same with a KL1. If you run R123 batteries as I do on the KL4, you save huge $ and get full regulated brightness for about 45 minutes. When it dims, I have about 10 minutes of use left before I shut it off to keep from overdischarging the battery. Not the cheapest setup but I couldn't be happier with it. I have bigger/brighter lights but this one gets major use and has never let me down.

PS: my pic is missing my Micra, I took it off to get into the club last night and forgot to put it back on.

I did a review of it if anyone is interested Orb Raw Review

No pocket clip but you can get a keyring kit for it.
