what spydies are in your near future?

Post by clovisc »

what spydies are you guys expecting or hoping to acquire in the next month or two?

i've been trying to resist the temptation, but i'm kinda fiending for a SE lum chinese...

if the tasman salt miraculously came out some time between now and september, i'd be alllllllllllll over that, but i doubt it'll happen... :(

6 weeks until i move from the US to zambia for 2.5 years... taking only 4-5 spydies with me, and no prospects of acquiring new ones. i expect i'll be going through :spyder: withdraw... doesn't mean i can't live vicariously through you guys, though! :D :D :D

A while back TazKristi had posted the latest "tentantive" release schedule. Am still hopeful that at least one of the knives it showed as slated for July or July/August release will make it onto the shelves before the end of the month. Out of them, my first choice would be the R2, but would be good to see any of them.

Kopa Evrina - Jul
Calypso Jr. Lightweight Burgundy w/ZDP-189 - Jul

Almite "R2" - Jul / Aug
Ocelot - Jul / Aug
Poliwog - Jul / Aug

Aside from new releases, I'm already plotting the scale material my next SFSW Kiwi.

Definitely a Poliwog and Ocelot. And whatever Spydie I can't resist while waiting for the release of those two.

Still expecting a PE Renegade and I will keep looking for a Ti Lum.
If the new models don't come in all at once I probably buy one of each but the R2, the Ocelot and a ZDP one for sure.

I wouldn't mind seeing my Kumo. :)
Or Spyderco could surprise me and release the Rock Lobster. ;) :spyder:

Since I no longer have a Calypso I'll get the new one when it hits the shelves and I'm still looking for a G10 Rookie in PE or SE.

I got a delivery from John Jensen yesterday. Blue Rescue Jr. and K04 serrated utility knife for me, Cricket FRN for my friends birthday gift, his first pocket knife, last year I bought him his first BB gun (his 38th birthday mind you). :D I'm liking that Rescue Jr. Great ergos handle wise, I'd like to have a Delica blade on that handle, like the choil.
Cheers,

Well, I was blessed (posessed) this month so far. My latest are from Recoil's collection: a SE Early model Mariner (Wow!) and and Experimental CX01 SE, both in choice condition. Top that off with an early Dragonfly FRN Gin-1 SE, #055. ($20.50!) and a NIB Jess Horn Lightweight, PE. an R2 has been ordered and due to arrive soon, hopefully. They are already out of stock at SFO, by the way! :spyder: :spyder: :spyder:
