Weeks of deprivation - What did I miss?

#1

Post by Rob »

Hi all!

Finally I am back here. In the past few weeks I couldn´t log on because I had to work hard for the final exams for this term at the university. Now I just found out that I missed nearly 600 new threads

What did I miss? New releases? Important news? The funniest thread ever? :D

Could anyone give me a short update what happened during the past month please?

Thanks! Good to be here again :)

Cheers, Rob

My Dear Rob,

I am glad you are once more back among friends!

What have you missed? More than you might think, at least if Jerry Springer is a favorite of yours. There was a brief period where it seemed as if war had broken out here, but all is calmer now, thankfully.

Also, Spyderco has a new presence on the forum in the way of TazKristi. She is a knowledgable, delightful Lady who has taken time from her busy day to grace us with her presence, disseminating the latest information about new products and projected delivery dates. She has proven herself an asset to the forum in a large way. She and her husband are expecting a new addition to their family within the next week or so, and accordingly we might not hear from her quite as often for a bit, but I am quite certain she will stick around. :D

Again, welcome back and enjoy being back among us; we will certainly reciprocate!

Warmest regards,

Hannibal Lecter

Rob, I don't remember what you missed exactly but I do know you have more disipline than myself. I would have been on the forum every chance I had instead of studying, so good for you and I hope the exams went well. Good to have you back.

ROB, I feel your pain, now that I can check the forum only when I'm back home (and not @work anymore) I always have at least all the thread on the first page unread... it takes a lot of time to read everything! :)

IMO you didn't miss much, all the new releases are postponed... :p ;)

Thanks for the "welcome back" guys! I am happy that I can participate again.

Thanks for your résumé, Dr. Lecter! A new female member? It's always nice to see some Ladies participating in a topic that is mostly dominated by men. Women have a different approach to the most things and that is a good thing. :)

Greencobra, you're right. It's all about self-discipline not to log-in but the exams prooved that it was worth the effort. Anyway, I`m happy that I have holidays from now on :D

Senate: All new releases are postponed?!? And I thought that I could buy me something sharp and pointy as a gratification for finishing this term well :( It seems that an old model will have to do it for now...

Again, glad to be back!

Cheers, Rob

Not only is she a new female member, she is employed by Spyderco and has proven herself a wealth of information. You will encounter her presence soon, I hope, and come to respect her as the rest of us do for her valuable contributions to the good of the forum. She really is a very kind and considerate person; I believe you will like her very much.

Again, my friend, welcome back; you were sorely missed.

Rob,
Welcome back and congrats on having the self discipline to stay away long enough to complete your exams.

Hannibal,
You're going to make me blush! Thank you for the kind words.

Hello mate! Good to have you back. Your reslove is far greater than mine, I can't stay away from this place ;) I'm sure that you did well with your exams.

Thanks for the advise about web site building. I have used some of your comments and tips to redesign my site, please let me know what you think when you have time.

I hope that you are able to relax for a while now. ;)

Regards, Ken

Hi Kristi! Although being away the past few weeks I like to welcome you too :)

Ted, good to hear from you! I hope everything is allright! Thanks for the list. It's just perfect to plan what to get next. If my creditcard had feet, it would run as fast as it could now :D Thank god it hasn't...

Ken, I am glad that I could help a little. Relaxing? Definitely! ;)

Cheers,

Rob
