This afternoon I had to deal with part of a fallen tree. It was easy to separate from the rest of the main tree trunk. When I got it on the ground, I realized I needed to remove the smaller 1" thick branches from the trunk part. I had no chainsaw, only a hatchet and a Delica.
The tiny Delica made short work of carving those 1" thick green branches off the trunk. It was passing through 1/2" portions with one pass. I used the hatchet to break up the rest of trunk piece.
I am pleased to note that the Delica still sliced paper at the end of this.

Heck, that's nothing. If our resident tree surgeon were on the job he'd have whittled the WHOLE tree into kindling with his Manix.

Lur Kingman,
Hey there, welcome to the forums. The Delica is a big knife in a small package, I use mine on occasion but my girlfriend uses her delica in a rock/soil/mulch bagging plant and it gets used, hard. I would expect the delica to be a great little work/garden knife, and with care, perform daily.

It was a PE.
Mr Cook:
I'll get pics of the "wood pile" up after I resize the ones I took.

I am having no luck resizing the pictures right now. My system is recently rebuilt and I cannot find the software that came with my camera. Here's a quick resize.
ETA:
When discussing this post and responses to it, specifically "Mini Chainsaw" when referring to the Delica. My wife said it should be called the "Idelica" Thought you might get a kick out of that. :)
