Woohoo!

Decided before I get a Native to get a Salsa. Since the Salsa is discontinued and I can get a Native later I figure.

Man what a great knife. It's like a chubby little knife :) . It's big and little at the same time. I really like this knife. And man the craftsmanship on this thing is awesome as is the compression lock. This is a really great little big knife.

Plus, since I work in an office environment like many others here, it's a good knife for NOT scaring people.

Yeah, it's a cool knife. I own 2 Black ones, got them when I started on Spyderco's in Feb. and love 'em. The feature I really like is the cobra hood, that gets some serious leverage going.

Some people stay away from it because it's made in Taiwan. I really have no problem with that, I find the quality up to standards.

I was telling the folks here a funny story about my neighbors wife and my Salsa. In a nut shell, she thought it was a great cheese slicer and told me it would have been perfect if it had a cork screw on it. LOL

I have a blue Salsa I bought a month ago and I'm very pleased with it. I'm contemplating buying a #50 Ti Salsa from a shop I know about. The price isn't too bad and I'm in negotiations with the Wife. We will have to see how the negotiations turn out. She bought some jewelry over the Memorial holiday weekend so I have leverage to negotiate with. :D


They are great little knives! There are some changes I would make if I had the keys to the shop but overall a very good knife.

Congrats on the Salsa. I have a Blue CE one and like it a lot. I got a neck rig for it too and it is just the perfect weight around the neck. You are right it is a stubby little guy. The ergos are perfect for my hand so it works well. Take Care!!!

Congratualtions on your new big little knife. I love everything at my Salsa: That full flat grind, the compression lock with ball detent, the cobra hood and the reversable wireclip :) I wish it wasn't that broad though. And with G-10 handles (now you're talking)
