What gear do you carry?

#1

Post by AllenETreat »

It's that time again...

Awright, gang, other than your trusty :spyder: what else do you pack
along for that daily adventure?

I carry a Mag lite Solitaire, along with this combination watch, compass,
themometer & stopwatch that was once made by Radio Shack.
Plus my 22yr old dog tags for immediate ID.

So post your pics of your gear and let's have fun droolin' over each
other's goodies.

What say the augurers?

AET
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night, in the dusty recesses of their minds, awake in the day to find that it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes to make it reality.

A gear thread! Yoohoo!

Currently: :spyder: Bob T Jr & HDS Systems EDC Basic 42 flashlight in the pocket. An Arc AAA & Glowring & PryBaby & Sliver Gripper Tweezers on the keychain.
A Doug Ritter PSK, a small medical kit and some paracord in the suitcase (or small pack in weekends) - you never know what happens in this urban jungle! ;)
(Actually, all of the items have come in handy multiple times in the past)
Pictures will follow later!

Here is what I carry on me, not what is in my bag or car, just on my body.
Spyderco: Chinook II PE/ Endura SE/ ti-Police SE/ Jester PE
Benchmade: 940 PE/ 630 PE
Inova: T1
CMG: Ultra Infinity
Leatherman: Juice KF4
Photon: II, 2- 1 white, 1 green.
A few safety pins, rubber bands, and a handkerchief(tactical black, of course)

I like having a back-up to my back-up's.
:)

keychain, always -- LM squirt, eddie bauer mini-screwdriver tool, cheap sheffield hawkbill beater and/or victorinox forester SAK

flashlight -- inova X5

bandana, pen, index cards, big pimp-looking watch

knives: (rotates wildly depending on where i am and what i'm doing)

often, i go on long walks at night to places where i can practice kung fu in peace -- when that happens, i'm usually also carrying my 6'8" ash pole... sometimes a pair of meteor hammers as well!

Here is the bare minimum that I carry at all times:

- FRN Delica
- SS Byrd Cara Cara (My beater knife, for things I wouldn't want to use a higher quality knife for)
- Leatherman Charge XTI Multitool
- Inova T2 Flashlight
- Unknown Keychain LED Light - Got it from Brookstone for $15
- 14 Piece Lockpick Set (Certified Locksmith, comes in handly often)
- Essentials: Watch, Wallet, Keys

I think thats everything.

I am out of a job right now so I don't have to carry that much but when I go away for a day or getting my son for our weekend I take:

1. My tobaccopoach(I know it's bad but I can't stop)
2. About 2 or 3 spydies.
3. Wallet
4. Water
5. Car papers
6. Gerber multitool(is usually in the glove department)
7. Mobile phone
