This is really not about :spyder: (well, maybe as a comparision) but I just read that Victorinox (Swiss army knives) bought Wegner. Guess how many knives these two will built together every year...

There is no price :( but the closest one will get to say "I knew it first"...

27.5 millions sold each year... (I read the article too ;) )
60 millions of knock-off produced in China each year too

amazing numbers! :eek: and they say all the knives are checked manually...

Opinels would have to be turned out in huge numbers like that. The quality vs. price on them would demand that kind of turnout.
