Received my Para-Military 2day

Few times I was feeling like I had to try a Golden Colorado/Earth made spyderco so after reading reviews and shopping a bit, I stopped my choice on a para-military. This is the best knife I bought for now. It's the sharpest out of the box spyderco that I ever bought. It's strong, it's also my first G10 handle and I was expecting something heavier, but it's very lightweight, just a little bit more heavy than the FRN handle. The shape is nice, no real default on the knife except the blade that is a little bit offcenter on the opposite side of the clip, but it makes no contact with the handle so it's not really a default.

It's the first out of the box spyderco who do a so nice paper cut test =P

I confirm, S30V is THE steel =P

This knife is a must have

I love the SAL initials on it :)

Thanks Sal for that so great knife and it convince me to continue buying the ones made in the USA.

Congratulations! The Para is another well-thought-out design from :spyder: . It's an incredible cutter. Be sure to sharpen it (or just touch up at this point) at 30 degrees to get the best performance.

what make the para-military so good?

the fact that the blade is ticker?
the steel?
the grind type?
all those three?

something else?

Aloha thenick!

Congrats on the Para! Er...perhaps it's "better" because it's smaller? ;) man, my Mili gets the "look" when I open it!

God bless and have fun

Paramilitary
The longer you have the more you will like it.
It cuts like a Calypso (almost) and has the strength of the Military.
For home use and weekends, it's in there.
