UK Pen Knife With a Lock?

Post by Moon »

Would you be interested in one?

I would like a lockback :)
It would be my ideal EDC. Low profile tip up wire clip carry, S30V, G-10.

Sorry Moon, zero interest in that one. The FRN Calypso Jr. is my choice for a knife of that size.

That would be a little bit like a Caly Jr. in G-10. I think I'd rather have a real Caly Jr. in CF :D . So, no I think I would pass

Maybe we should stop asking for this. Sal has said "no" too many times. I think we should ask for a G10 S30V Calypso Jr. with a low ride wire clip instead. ;)

The UK Pen Knife is unique in itself - why change it. It would seem the Caly Jr meets the requirements. By the way I would buy a UK Pen Knife if I could.

Damage got it spot on. Bruce at Heinnie as them for £56.95, about $107.00US. He's a nice guy also!!!

God bless.

No Lockback For Me!

#18

Post by Gibsoniam »

Hi all!

I've got a UK Penknife that has been my EDC since the first week of January when I got it. The others around here who comment that you don't need the lock are probably right for most everyday light to medium use, at least in my experience. It has a very solid click and hold when opened.

Rather than a lockback version, I'd like to see a few variations in size: one with a 3 3/4 handle and one with a 5" handle or so.

Just my $.01 worth. I'm saving my other $.01 for later! :D

I actually vote no too. I found the penknife handle narrower than the caly Jr. Now if you had said G10 caly Jr with low ride wire clip the answer would be yes.
