First off I want say this a great forum. When I first learned about the Gunting in a knife magazine I went searching for information on it and this forum is just full of information. I ordered the video series from George Denson "kenpoman" and I have to say that my interest for this knife has grown exponentially especially because of the non-lethal applications that can be used. I am currently waiting for my drone to arrive, and am looking forward to practicing with it. I was wondering if there is any kind of email newsletter or something to keep abreast of seminars that Bram and his team may be holding. Especially if there is going to be one here in the SF Bay Area. Thanks Bram for developing such a cool knife, and thanks spyderco for having a such a great forum to get information from.

Huntercl,

Bram's web site should be live by the end of June. There will be a schedule of all Gunting seminars. A email newsletter might be in the not so distant future. There will be a seminar in So Cal in later July or Aug.
I will post when the site is live.

Welcome Huntercl, to the MBC forum.
I know of no printed newsletter per se; however, this is forum is the focal point of MBC and Gunting related information. Bram Frank will note his Traning travel log.

MBC Seminar information is posted here regularly. Also, the Spyderco Custom Shop folk will update seminar info . If you attend a MBC seminar in Golden, the nice folks will advise as to the best accomdations.

There was chat about a So Cal and SF Bay area seminar planning.

Terry Pritchard is a knife dealer who is a Gunting fanatic, he carries Gunting assesories.

He can be contacted at bladebroker@email.com

Stay safe,
Seth

Thanks for the information Jeremy and Seth. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for future posts in regards to Bram's website and seminar schedules.

Seth, does Terry have a website? And are there actually a lot of accessories for the Gunting?

Hi Bram,

Thanks for the welcome. A visit to SF would be awesome. I've been watching the videos and it just seems that the next appropriate step is to take in some live instruction.

I was wondering, in the video everyone demonstrating was mainly pulling from a holster, is it that much easier or different than pulling from the pocket?

Living here in CA I'm pretty sure I can't wear it in a belt holster, but the shoulder harness sounds like a nice alternative.

Thanks and have a good weekend

Of course, you may have work-related issues if you wear it in a holster....
