It opened

I was flicking some large folders and they all opened with inertial motion. Then I grabbed my live blade Gunting and snapped down. I was surprised it also opened. I use White Lightning lube on my knives, could make the Gunting that smooth or does the tension need to be tighten up to resist the snap?

Student01,

You surmised correctly! Just tighten down the allen head screw on the pivot pin until it will no longer inertia open. Then you have a properly adjusted Gunting. I like White Lightning on mine too, it does make a difference.

Now get a drone and practice, practice practice your kinetic opening. That's where the genius of the Gunting shows. And remember, never open it on your leg!!!

Good luck and have fun!!

We the Gunting crowd tighten it down more than you would expect...
it opens hard by thumb and really quick with Kin-Op ( Kinetic opening..
