spyderwrench

Post by grahjas »

I am looking at getting a spyderwrench. I did not know if it is worth it. I am looking for a multitool as i will be out of the country for a while. I love my sppydies, and amy fly's, but i need something with some more options...so, opinions.

Should i make do with my knives, or go all out

Aloha Bro!

A good multi-tool is essential IMHO...if ya can't find a :spyder: wrench, any of "the other ones" on the market will suffice.
Although I never had the opportunity to use a :spyder: Wrench, it does appear to have options that most multi's currently on the market don't have...

God bless!

The SPYDERENCH is number 1 in my book. There is one made by a prominent Swiss company that I really like. I do wish that they would make a successor to it. I am sure by now that the GReat :spyder: factory has something else on the drawing board by now. If anyone wants to know what my 2nd pick is: my e-mail is joedot@swbell.net :) :spyder: :)

I like my :spyder: wrench but there are a few things. The adjustable wrench slips sometimes and the pliers aren't always feasable vs others with the top opening needlenose. Also the removable screwdriver is my biggest pet peeve. If you don't get it just right the pliers don't stay together in your pocket and you sound like an old school proson guard clanking around with a big ring of keys. Also it seems to rust easy, nothing a little brillo and lube can't fix. the real knife is a big bonus in a multi tool and being able to seperate it is cool too

Ok thats enough outta me

Is there any word on a time frame for an upgraded Spyderench?

I would buy several if they had a wire cutter (I use that the most) and if the new 'features'/fixes are good/better.

I don't need to know a date, I just want to know if it will be weeks, months or years...

I don't think there was any word about the SpydeRench in the 2005 catalog but I could be wrong. If it's the case, I won't expect it in a near future.
