Hello All :)

Well they realeased me from the hospital today and I am doing well. Back to talking with some slurring and heaviness to my speech but everyone is very impressed with how well I am doing. Have not had to have pain meds since last Friday and I feel great.
I would really like to thank you ALL for the support you have given me. I love the Lil T that I got. I will post a pic once home next week. Pretty tired and really looking forward to just relaxing in a familiar place for the next while. I will try to catch up on everything but you folks have been busy. Again thanks and Take Care.

Woo-Hoo! :D :D :D

CKE!! :) Glad to hear you are home! Finished the "Ride for the Roses" and the stories of survivorship before, during, and after the ride just blew me away. Lance said for you to "Fight like ****!" You've got the right attitude and a great support system out there. More to follow from Java later but check out the Lance Armstrong Foundation at http://www.laf.org for some great information and inspirational personal stories of folks who made it through their battle with cancer. It's an excellent resource for cancer research and survivorship.

One day at a time - each morning is a fresh start to live this particular day right and string them together in a life of action and purpose. We're with you all the way. So go, man. GO! :)

Oh....and Zrexxer, if you're listening you and all them other Austinites should be proud of the support and community response to the LAF and for the Ride for the Roses weekend. I've ridden a lot of Centuries and a fair number of charity/fund raising rides but nothing compares to the show of force that the people of Austin, Elgin, and the surrounding area contributed to make this a successful and inspiring event. Y'all done good!! ;)

Craig, it's great to see you out and about once again! You're still in my daily prayers. Get some rest, relax, enjoy the time away from work (****, I'd try to look at it as a vacation....when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, that sort of thing).

Thanks everyone. This is such a great support place. Always puts a smile on my face :) I lost around 22 lbs while in the hospital and the weeks leading up to the surgery. So my main goal now before radiation is to put some meat back on my bones. It is so nice to eat again with no pain. My jaw is broken but I can eat anything you can mash with a fork which is way better than the pureed meatloaf they fed me the one night :( Ah well, all part of the healing process. I have to take a nap every afternoon to recharge the batteries but again all part of the recovery. Again thanks for everything you guys...the support has been wonderful and greatly appreciated. Take Care and see ya around the forum :)
