I was given to understand that there is collector's value for some Spyderco knives.
Personally, I collect Spyderco knives (certain models) because they are well made, splendidly engineered and have got a great feel.
However, the thought does flash through my mind now and then that Spyderco knives do have some collector's value.
Is this true? I am in the dark about this.
Some say certain Spyderco models which are out of production carry an above average value.
For me, I just prefer that they don't let me down ever, in any situation. So far, they are marvellous. No complaints from me.
Just thought may be the Spyderco specialists out there can tell me a thing or two about those rare, unforgotten Spyderco editions.
Is there a collector's value to Spyderco knives
This is gonna sound smartass:I apologize for that but this is the best way I know to put it.
The collector's value of anything is what someone will pay you for it.
My sons went thru a'Magic' card phase:"Oh Wow! The magazine sez this card's worth $300"!(mad dash to the comic store)"Uhhh,I'll give yuh $5 for it.""But the book says......""I can't sell it for that;good luck finding a buyer."
It's called the'Free Market'.
