Fixed Blade Collectors Sound Off!

#1

Post by Tbirdjoe »

Hi!
Since we're all Knifenuts here (you have to be if you love your spydies) :p . I'm wondering if any of you also collect fixed blades. Lately my :spyder: collection had been stuck on 9  because my hard earned dough is being diverted to fixed blades. Right now I have a Buck Nighthawk, A Gerber LMF and a Marble's 7". I'm also about to get my second BlackJack(Old Eff, Ill). If you are also into fixed blades(old, Millitary, Custom&self made), please share it with us!

Well I don't know if I qualify as a collector, but I currently have a Lum Tanto, Ronin, Swamp Rat Camp Tramp, and a no-name boot dagger (fairly old). Recently at bladeshow west I had the honor to see and touch an amazing collection of Loveless knives. And Mr Loveless himself was there as well!

Hi Tbirdjoe - Now tell me what kind of wheels you've got... Yeah, after a long time out of the publics main focus, the fixed blades seem to be coming back into scoop. I've been interested in fixed blades since 1992. i must admit however, that I focussed on folders for the last 8 years. I have many fixed blades, too many to mention but they are from Spyderco, Gerber, Fjällraven, G. Sakai, Moki and David Boye among others. Since 2 years I also look at an buy fine kitchen cutlery like the Kai series VG-10 gold damascus series. Very fine knives to work with!
I also like ceramic blades. So far, so good.
Let's hear it! :spyder:

TbirdJoe - The WM1 is still available, but only in rubber handle. Still VG10 but not mirror polished. Comes with Kydex (belt or neck) or Leather.

Mr SOG stands corrected. The Beagle rules on style alone anyway.....

Pulse in hand but reconsidering the second Leatherman after Tim decided to mix politics and business using the Leatherman name. To bad Sal's model as a businessman with responsibilities to his employees and customers on either side of the political coin is not followed wisely by some.....

Aw what the hay? It's for Vox so consider it done.

Package soon my Viking blade bending berserker brother.....soon.

Ten-four, Elenore!

The pearl is in the river! Will be two rather than one package.....I'll work on catching a shot of the sting ray house.

BTW: Does that mean Sal has been foisting mostly "broken" blades on us Spyderfiends??? :(   :D
