Hi Thom,
Yes, It is me. I have been home for 3 weeks now. I found this forum the other day while I was searching the Spyderco site.It looks pretty good. How are you doing?
I'll be back to work next month. I still want to get a Peter Herbst. That is a beauty!

Gotta warn you, Rick. This is a very expensive forum. Once the newest, best comes out, people here are describing it in ways that makes it painful to go without.

Boxer93,

So far, I've talked him into the black FB04, but I've shown him the Ti ATR, gray Calypso Jr, black Dodo, Native lightweight, Delica lightweight, SE S-curved Meerkat, cranberry Salsa, and possible the PE Merlin. He already had a Civillian and a Sharpmaker before I even knew about .

I tried twice to write something and I was unable to post it. Now I seem to be able to. I checked and I was signed in.I don't know what happened. I'm doing nothing different now.

I bought two Perrins. They are black blades. One is already in Iraq. We sent it to my buddies brother Tom. He is with the 172nd inf. (mountain) NH National Guard. Tom hunts with us for deer. He will not be hunting with us this year. He has been in Iraq since March. I hope the Perrin comes in handy. He also has a Randell Model 1. His uncle carried the Randell with the 101st Airborne in Viet Nam. Tom has had the knife since the eighties, when he served in Korea. He was laying mines up at the 38th Parallel (DMZ). Now he re-enlisted and got sent to Iraq with his unit. He likes Spyderco, and that is what we sent him.
