The note said your password may have been accessed. I don't think that changing it was mandatory.

Wonder if there's a phishing expedition afoot.

Zrexxer,
I was wondering the same. Maybe in the morning Carlos or someone else at Spyderco can check on it and fill us in.

Are you guys that can't change your password using the link on the email to try and change your password or are you coming to the site as normal and then accessing your profile?
For what it's worth, I got the email and several other people I know of got it also.

If you follow the link it won't work. It asks you for your email and password and they won't link correctly. Come to the forum and sign in as usual and then go to your profile and change your password. That way it is a User Name to Password link and it will work fine.

I never use a link in an email, as that's a main component of phishing scams. I logged in as normal. However, I tried the link in the email too and it doesn't take you to anything but a blank forum page.
FWIW I examined the email headers and it appears to have come from who it says it's from. I suspect it's just a SNAFU from them trying to fix the security hole.
