Native, Harpy, WHAT?!?!?!

#1

Post by Turbo923 »

I'm looking for my fifth spyderco to add to my collection of: Civilian, Police, Spydercard, and Pro-grip. First off, great knives. Second, all are good for different functions. Police: heavy cutting. Pro-Grip: fishing (love that sport). Civilian: cool knife added to my collection. spydercard: great when you don't want to carry a knife outside your wallet. My question is: what's next? I'm looking at the Native (good looking blade, size right for EDC), Military (big knife, little weight. what more could you ask for....), Harpy (curved blade, nice style, etc.), or any other spydercos made :-)

What do you guys recommend? (figure i'd take advice from those who know best!!!)

Starmate or Bob Lum tanto! Can't go wrong with one of these. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Besides, both are GREAT knives and you're missing a tactical style knife.

I would say get a Military. This is, IMHO, one of the best Spyderco's to date. You should also look at the Calypso Jr. Lightweight, it is another of my favorite Spydie's and is an excellent small EDC.

baszerkawits, um... last time I checked, the Police and Civvie were fairly tactical

I just picked up a Native the other day. What a great knife! I dig the way the blade looks with the plain edge. I am ordering another next week. I would like to get a Bob Lum as well but I need to find a good price.

I'd go with the Harpy myself...in fact I just got one on ebay. Awesome looking knife and I think this is the one you want.

I like the Harpy and the Native. I would personally go with the Native because of the great ergos and blade. But the Harpy is also one of my faves, cuts like a machine.
