Military or ParaMilitary?
Military or ParaMilitary?
I've currently had a Native for EDC over the past 5 years and got the itch again to purchase another knife.
I'm having trouble deciding between the Military & ParaMilitary. For those of you using the Military for EDC, how do you carry it? If work attire (think office) doesn't fit well with clip knife, does the Military fare well inside the pocket (not clipped)?
Finally, how does the Military carry when clipped to the front right pocket when wearing jeans? Does the knife push up and possibly come unclipped if you sit down?
I guess I'm really leaning towards the Military at this point. If it doesn't carry well for work, I've always got my Native for EDC and can save the Military for casual attire.
Besides its size, can anyone think of any pros/cons of going with either the Military/ParaMilitary?
Thanks

I'd recommend the Military, it's a lot bigger than the Para and the Native but it packs a lot of bang for the buck! There isn't really a negative thing I could say about the Military.
The Military will usual make people run for the door in an office environment, so it might not be the first choice for an EDC in that situation!
It's definitely a comfortable knife for it's size, but not always the first choice for an EDC.

Of the choise between the two I would go for the Miliatry.I am not a big fan of the compression lock.

I have both and carry the Para the most. Both are great. The Para is my favorite. The Compression lock is fine and have had no problems unlocking it, it's like a liner lock but just upside down. The Military a just a bit too large for my tastes but it is a keeper. You can't go wrong with either.
Just get one of each.

Don't think I've ever heard someone say,
"Gee, I really could have used a smaller knife."
The larger knife can do anything the smaller one can, however the smaller one may not do everything the larger blade can.
Go for the Military. or both, then decide. the ParaMilitary is hot now and you could get your investment back.

The Military carries great for such a big knife, clipped or unclipped. Amazing how it disappears in a pocket.
It is however a bit overkill in an office IMHO.
The Para is very nice too.
I would go with the Millie, as it offers something very different to your Native. The Para and Native are more similar in size so you cover more bases with the Millie + Native combo IMO.

Well I've decided to get the Military. I really like the SpyderEdge, but I also really like the black DiamondCoat Military as well.
So I guess it boils down to black combo blade or steel SE blade.
Any pro's & con's for either type of blade? This knife will primarily be carried for self-defense when I'm unable to legally be armed.

Aloha and welcome!
As for blade color, unless you plan on doing stealthy things in the night, I'd just stick to the basic 30V...
BUT, if ya plan on cutting in a corrosive environment, the coated blade would be better I suppose.
Never thought I'd be saying this, but thanks to KOM, the Mili is a great choice!
