RTAK and K-BAR held for...(how's this?)

#1

Post by DAYWALKER »

Aloha all!

Okay, in a post regarding the CS Spike, I reffered to a co-worker who sells knives, flashlights, etc. to supplement his income right? Well, I haven't seen this man for quite some time. As i was waiting for 1st watch to arrive, he shows up as my relief! After a warm "long time no see" greeting, I then proceeded to ask him if he had any "toys".

He goes to his car and returns w/ two knife rolls. As he opened one of them, Gerbers, CS, BM...I figured that he'd have some of the cheap chinese stuff in the other roll. He says, "Eh, go open dat one." As I opened it up...there they were...

RENEGADE CE and a FRN DYAD! MINT CONDITION!

He wanted 75$ for them, but you all know of my "Anniversary Gifts" i just got, right? I asked if he could hold them for me as I didn't have the moola for it. (BTW- the Renegade was one of my VERY favorite "Spydesigns".) He says, "AH, take um. Pay me whenever." I hate doing "deals" in this manner so I insisted that he hold my KBAR and RTAK for collateral, as they weee in my car at the time. He then says, "Chad, no worry brah, if you no pay me back, I know where you work!" LOL!

Now, is this a "sign" or what?!(RE: Spyderventure!) OBTW...SORRY, before I get swamped w/ e mail offers...these are keepers!

I wan't gonna post this as sven just dinged his Lum, but NO ONE ELSE could relate to my JOY like how only WE can relate to sven's pain.

Will try to post images of my Anniversary "3" and of the Renegade and FRN dyad soon.

God bless and goodnight all!

Chad

Hi Chad,
Congratualtions on your new knives. While I'm not that much into the Dyad (my wife likes it a lot though), as I don't find those blade humps too comfortable in the hand (there's always a blade closed when you use the knife and its hump has a nasty feel), I do love the Renegade. Nice find and enjoy them.

Couple nice catches there Chad! You've had a great hunting month. Use 'em in good health. I like the looks of the Renegade, but have yet to score one, as I'm "holding out" for a PE one and those seem to be pretty scarce.

*Shakes head in disbelief again.

I don't know what John 14:13-14 is but I'm opening my Bible to take a look at it and try

Good on you Daywalker

Very nice Chad.

You gotta get a digi camera!

I went to a small knife/gun show last weekend and I handled a blackhawk for the first time (that's very similar to the renegade right?). I ALMOST bought it, but the G10 looked funky - it was as if it had faded.

Anyway, I got your package last night. I opened it up and man... I almost lost *control* !
It is A W E S O M E.

WIll E you when I get a chance.
