Welcome to the Spyderco Forum. Is it the movie with Dolph Lundgren?
I've seen (again) Bad Boys with Will Smith and there's also a Civilian featuring there (the earlier model with aluminum handles and Kraton inserts) <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Welcome!
Was it the new Punisher movie?
Is it any good apart from the <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>?
Is the Civilian a good actor?
It's about time one of the <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> family got an Oscar, maybe for best support.<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Welcome aboard Visable-assassin! Good to have another Spyder-bro protecting our southern flank there. BTW, I just caught what looked like an Endura SE on the Science Channel's Understanding series last evening. Episode was called Mysteries of Memory - it involved a woman whose mind was traumatized by a rape experience (her attacker of course wielded the evil Spydie)
Silverback,
Have you got the Civilian's acceptance speech ready?? "First, I'd like to thank all the little Spydies out there who made this possible......." (Okay. Work with me on this, Silverback....I never got my Oscar either<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

Thanx for the welcome guys <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
No it wasn't the one with DOlph Lundgren in it. Its the new one..with John Trivolta (SP?) But it made me kinda of giddy when I saw it. Ive seen badboys as well with the 1st gen civie but this movie had the G-10 civie, what looks liked a BM m42 bali (one one of them too) and an Emerson Karambit..which was used with really twisted results.

ummm... was it John Travolta or Thomas Jane who deployed the civilian? There were some Striders in this movie too! <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Java:
First off all, I think the Civi should cry a little during the speech, that will make it more approachable to the audience.
Of course thanks all around, especially to Sal and the guys who made it (always mention your parents and your agent), it's such an honor to work with blahblahblah...
Maybe something political about knife laws and oppression of knife nuts everywhere?<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Also, what category will the Oscar be in?
Is the Civi part of the technical staff, a special effect, part of the wardrobe or a character?
Hope to hear from you soon!<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Just saw it tonight. The Civvie didn't get much of a roll. Descent enough flick.
Couple things did annoyed me. Why did he have to constantly rack the slide on his .45? The director never heard of a slide release? And why did that Triumph have to sound like an inline-four w/a pipe? Actually,I'm surprised they didn't make it sound like a Harley. And why oh why did they have to trash those nice muscle cars? Every action flick these days it seems they need to destroy one of these beautiful pieces of rolling Americana.
BTW,what was the green car w/the black hood? Make/model?
