I got some batons and baton lights from them but it was a LONG time ago and the customer service was very good back then. I've heard good and some bad things lately, check out "cheers and jeers" on the candlepower forum. Do a search for Botach. Seems that the service has gone downhill... and the prices can be beat elsewhere. Have you called on the phone for a tracking #?

Search on the Good, Bad & Ugly on BladeForums and you'll get the same (negative) feedback as on CPF.

I hope you haven't paid yet...

About your 2nd question.

www.newgraham.com always has fair prices.

www.bestknives.com seems to be good also.

I lucked out several years ago and got an Emerson Commander with not problems. Since then I have heard lots of bad reports on Botach. I would be very leery of ordering from them.

I ordered a flashlight from them a while ago and paid for it. They wouldn't send it to me - kept asking for more money when I had already paid, again, for the shipping then they ignored the dozen or so email I sent to them asking for my money back, but they kept my money and the flashlight - they are the worst internet shop I've ever had the misfortune to come across. I'm amazed they're still trading and ripping folk off, somebody should shut them down. They're nothing but thieves. My advice to anyone thinking of buying from them - don't.

My experience of them is not good.

It took several weeks for me to get a response from them as to whether they would ship overseas as I wanted to order a Rookie from them.
The response when it came said they would ship the Rookie overseas, but only after I supplied a scan of my drivers licence. I had experienced similar before so wasn't too put out, and so ordered.
A couple months later, no knife, so I contacted them by e-mail.
After a few more weeks I got the reply to say that they had sold out of Rookies the previous year and didn't know if they would get any more in <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Botach has VERY spotty customer services, often not even emailing the buyer if something is out of stock. My fiancee bought my Maxpedition Fatboy from Botach. I was lucky in that I kept up on it and I recieved it within a week. Still, I know people who ordered knives and waited over 2 months.

Howdy PJ! Welcome to <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>Land!<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I would stay far away from Botach. Their service is too darn spotty to get my business.

pjhead -

It seems you already paid for the Endura
by the way I read your post.<img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Here's something you can do -

Do a Google search for Botach's State they
do business in/from. Ex -

State of ( Botach's State ), Dept of Consumer Protection

You should get it on the first hit ; now,
when you get on that State's consumer protection page, they usually have an e-mail
complaint form. Explain, in detail, what
you've told us here - you'll either get your
Endura -or- your money back.

Want to REALLY hurt Botach? Add your own
State's consumer protection agency to the
complaint ( same search, but YOUR State )

Then, go to the Federal Trade Commission's
website -

www.FTC.gov

You can also report the matter to Botach's
State's attorney general.

You should get a response from Botach ( if
you don't put'em outta business first! <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

Never mind the search pjhead -

www.dca.ca.gov/
( Dept. of Consumer Affairs, California )

caag.state.ca.us/consumers/
( attorney general of the State of California )

Ken from "OZ" take note also! <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

As Botach supposedly sells to the Gov't
BELIEVE ME they don't need that kind of
"heat"!

And, keep in mind this applies to ANY
business in the US - screw the consumer -
lose your license to practice business! <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

If you bought the Endura off the InterNet
Botach's in line for a Federal offense.
( "'Net fraud" is the FTC's balliwick )

BTW -

Check out Crocblades.com ; they have
the Endura & Endura II for $45-$50 price
range. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Go to VISA's website ; they should have
an "800" number to call'em ( alot quicker
than cyberspace if ya' ask me! ) And tell'em
to cancel.
