KOT : Who bought from Hamonoichiba?

#1

Post by AllenETreat »

www.Hamonoichiba.com

My first venture "overseas" ( that is, as

far as an "on-line" purchase goes ) From

what I gather, Naohiko Hasegawa would like

I e-mail him all the order info & VISA info

( which I don't have a problem with ) I'm

just wondering about how long it takes to

get through US Customs? I don't think "9/11"

hysteria would affect the diminuative Cricket ( meebee CF would be considered "HAZMAT"? <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) At $54 ( for almite ) to $80 ( carbon fiber ) are there

any customs duties? Or, are they included in the price? As Mr. Hasegawa isn't the best

at speaking "American" I don't think asking

him would be enlightening.

What say the augurers?

I have not ordered from them but I have seen others that have saying it was no problem.
I can't figure out how to place the order or pay them.
CF should not be concidered Hasmat.
I have recieve many packages from over seas and have never been charged any customs or any other fees.

J Smith -

From what I gather, Mr. Hasegawa has you
e-mail with the data he requests on the "ordering instructions" page of the
site ; for ex. sp00000054 is the CF PE Cricket @ 8,505 ( currently, $79.99U.S.)
Then, for some strange reason, he asks for
your ZIP code first ( WHAT!?! No "+FOUR"!?!)
Then your mailing info. He then e-mails you
the total price ( in yen, "JPY" ) then you
send a confirmation e-mail back that all's
a "go" & he processes the charge. Or-

The amount can be deposited electronically
in his CITIBANK account ( a much slower process, if I remember EFT ) I'm goin' the
VISA route on the 3rd ( I'll have $1,037 in
my account <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) E-checking can be really
innovative! ( he makes the "charge", it "posts" 24hrs later <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

I ordered Spydercos from Japan. They shipped the knives on Saturday and I received them the following Tuesday. I would recommend using the Altavista translator if you have any language problems. They used US International Mail to ship. My experience was excellent though I did email back and forth to work things out regarding what I wanted.

Thanx spyderwa!

It shouldn't be hard for Hamonoichiba to
figure out a CF PE Cricket ( that is, if
sp00000054 is the "URL next to picture"<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

There's always that SE CF Cricket if Sunblades on eBay has it by payday!

The race is on!

I too have had nothing but excellent service from Mr Hasegawa of Hamonoichiba.com.

There may be a customs charge, depends on the company taking the package.

When communicating with Naohiko, keep the words simple as he uses a translator.

Allen,
I have ordered twice through Hamonoichiba. No problems at all and very fast delivery (less than a week) and no customs charge. Actually the CF Cricket is also one that I've acquired through them. I'd order again with confidence.
