Watch Fred Perrin handle a SpyderFly!!

#1

Post by Ted »

Fred Perrin walked by at the Spyderco booth at the IWA 2004 show this weekend and played with the SpyderFly. He's really amazing with these things!!!

Video:

It's rotated 90 degrees so you have to put your monitor on it's side and you probably need a QuickTime codec to see it.

If anybody can rotate it back or make it normal MPEG, feel free to do so.

Once again, Ted: You rule!

Thanks for the sweet video! (Of course, you probably just budgeted out another $100USD of my hard-earned cash for the Fly, and triple that for the hospital bill while I'm learning to mimic Fred...but thanks!)

Wahey! If only I could do that without damaging myself and anyone nearby.

Ted, you're the man. Thanks a lot for the video. To be honest, I was considering myself pretty handy with the buterfly, but seing Fred here makes me realize (once again) that I'm just an apprentice.

Jeff, that's odd. If you try a right-click and save-as?

STOPIT, Quit showing me cool people, doing cool things, with cool knives. That's just cool, I'm guessing as good as that video is it doesn't do Fred Justice.
And I was leaning away from getting the Spyderfly. I wanna see what he can do with the FB04

Not bad, better than me anyway. I'd like to see what he could do if he was really trying. i'm sure it would be difficult for your eyes to keep up.

I just watched the video and found it very impressive. It's the first time I've seen Fred Perrin and he has a kind of Billy-Bob Thornton look . He's actually very good and I'm impressed with the SpyderFly. Why is it I never heard of that knife before I joined this forum. I remember seeing an ad in TK magazine but there was not even a picture. When can I get one? Thought they would fit more blade in those handles though.
