Spydie engraving

#1

Post by UK KEN »

Hello all

I bought a Delica recently from eBay. It has a beautiful engraved Spyder and web which, according to the vendor was done at the Spyderco factory.

Since I bought that knife I have seen other Spyderco knives with the same design engraved on them for sale on eBay. Unfortunately this particular trader refuses to sell to the UK.

Would anyone here know of a trader who sells these knives who is also willing to sell to buyers outside the U.S.A?

Thanks for any help!

Same here, BB. I'd be happy to be a middle man. I'm gonna need someone in the UK to help me track down a G10 Calypso Jr slipjoint at some point!

timlara,
I have no worries on the penknife being available here in the US. Not the design team one, but certainly the production version.

Hello all

Thank you for the replies. I do have people in the U.S.A. that I have been trading with for some time, but as it is their business, I have been reluctant to ask them to ship items from other dealers.

The following link shows one of the knives I am interested in
:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... gory=43335
His prices throught the full range are good but he will not seell to clients outside the U.S.A.

It would be great if one of you gentlemen would be prepared to obtain a few knives for me from this dealer and then ship them to me.

I, in turn, am prepared to ship the slip joint "Penknife" to anyone who can't obtain it readily over there.

Regards Ken

BarginBlades: I have bought 5 Spydies (3 engraved) so far from Razorsharpknife(see link above). He always has good prices and fast shipping. Have you contacted him to see if he would make an exception for shipping to the UK. He has gone out of his way to give me good service in the past.

Hello BigJim

I did ask him if he was prepared to make an exception in my case. I explained that I have bought/sold over 800 knives on eBay and have a 100% positive feedback record. He was still not willing to sell to me.

Please don't get the idea that I'm knocking him! He is an excellent trader with great feedback! He is entitled to sell, or not, to whom he chooses. It is just a shame because I could have put a fair bit of business his way, plus built my own collection.

One of the forumites has been very helpful and is sending me a couple of knives. I appreciate all of your help and comments.

Regards Ken
