Ever carry "something else" as EDC?
Believe me, I LOVE Spydies!
But, as a change, am carrying a Buck JUNO
( a "wannabe" IMO ) Or, how 'bout the "traditional" ( as in not "tactical" )
knife with a "nail nick" ( instead of hole or stud ) and no clip?
I know, I know, just call me a "dinosaur".
What say the augurers?

I carry my old lambsfoot slipjoint instead of the kiwi occassionally... my left side fixed blade is a custom warncliff.

I know that I'll have rocks thrown at me, but I no-longer carry my Spydies as my EDC's...I now carry a Benchmade 805 and a Benchmade 705 as my 2 EDC's.
...If only Spyderco would have made more "lefty-friendly" folders with G-10 scales and dual stainless liners...

I only believe in carrying the best money can buy, the materials must be cutting edge and able to survive anything thrown at it.
After all thats why I no longer get Gerber (their support treated me like a number 2 often as well), Spyderco all the way.
Other EDC tool I will only rely on other than my Spydies is my Glock 21, the best made knife on the planet tag teaming with the best made firearms.
Cheers

I always have at least one Spyderco on me (a Native or a Dodo).
In addition, my EDC consists of a Strider GB (one of the toughest folders on the planet), and often a Strider fixed blade.

Last week, I got an Al Mar Shrike through a trade and I'm REALLY impressed with this blade. I've been carrying it for non-work EDC since my job environment can get pretty dirty/dusty at times. However, I do still carry at least one on me at all times, usually the SS Cricket SE.
My work EDC is my 440V CE Millie, and I'll occasionally carry my S30V Military, but the Shrike has my attention right now. If it didn't have that VG10 steel blade, though, that would be a different story....
