S30V--toothy or polished edge?

#1

Post by KBR »

I was wondering on which edge finish would be best for S30V....a toothy edge or polished? Which would last longer if you plan on cutting fibrous materials, cardboard? What's your opinion?

Thanks in advance. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I really like a toothy finish on my knives, for the most part. After getting a toothy edge, sometimes I'll strop the edge a few times on leather, just to polish it a tad bit.
