when I ordered a handful of cs folders this was probably the one I least expected to EDC. Maybe the recon 1 I got will take over when I get around to cleaning it. It was too gritty to want to carry before taking it down and cleaning it.
This one just works real nicely for me. Good size and blade shape. Wish the edge went all the way back but it works pretty well as is.

White River Firecraft 3.5. Can’t wait to hit some trails with it.

I've been eye-balling this knife for years. I own its little brother the Backpacker (I think you do too?) and I like the looks of the Firecraft but don't quite understand it, either. I like a thin slim handle for the trail...that's all that's needed, really; you don't want to be hauling extra handle weight. If I'm carrying a knife for miles I want to be hauling blade not handle. Also like S35VN over S45VN. I'm a little more confused about the blade shape (the spear point), the saber grind and the ring at the end. Can you tell me what it weighs? If it's lighter than 3 oz, I'm sold. But that's a lot of hefty blade for 3 oz.

I haven’t weighed mine yet, but I think it’s around 3.8oz, probably a touch more with the sheath. It feels close in weight to the backpacker, I have the micarta version. I’ll use the ring to hang it up on something when camping, the handle itself is comfortable for me. I can get a four finger grip on the G10 portion. The blade shape is weird but kind of grows on you. I need to try it out with wood but food prep it did great

Nice. Quote me when you post a review so I'm sure to see it. I'm also curious what the total weight is (ie, with sheath). Sheath looks a bit overbuilt for my needs and might need to make my own simple lightweight Kydex sheath for it. Thanks for the reply.

Quiet Carry Waypoint LC, it’s a beast…here it is next to the Zaan and Inkosi…might even be Vivi approved
Awsome looking knife! I got the regular version and very curious about the LC version.

One of their knives caught my eye recently....maybe the drift XL? They look well put together. I hear nothing but good things about QC.

3V SRK. Quite a beast for $80. Very good value.
As you'll see in the photos it's not 100% the same as the SK5 runs.
- Flat saber grind instead of hollow saber grind
- As a result it has a more robust tip
- Also slightly heavier and more forward balanced, giving it a bit more chopping ability
- Uncoated from factory
- As a result, spine is sharp enough to scrape easy to spark fuzz from a branch, and works wonderfully on ferro rods
- Swedge comes to an edge. It isn't sharp enough to slice thin rope, but it'd take little work to get it there. Might hit mine with the belt sander to flatten it a bit so it doesn't chew up batons so much. This will be a woods knife for me, not a fighter
- Colored sheath. Pretty cool touch, all the colored SRK's in SK5 come in black sheaths.
- Different shade of green. I don't have my OD green SK5 on me to compare, but this Olive Green is a darker, more earthy looking shade of green.
Very pleased with it so far. Was hesitant to order one knowing the SK5 version works great for me and is 1/3 the price, but the different grind means it's a stronger blade, and being uncoated with a sharp spine out of the box saves me some work over the SK5 runs.
I'm excited to test it out further. Hard to believe it but this is my first 3V knife I've used. Always heard it's one of the top tier steels.
