After a long, perilous journey, a NIB (kinda) Military in 52100 showed up today. I wanna thank @Evil D for all his posts on this knife. Been wanting one since I read his comments on the knife in 2016 or 2017 but was not able to get one until today. I have a bunch of other stuff going on so I hope to take the knife apart and spruce it up over the weekend.

I've been trying to talk myself out of buying the upgraded Ambitious ever since it was released because I never really had a problem with the standard blade steel. Now that I finally have one, I realize that it's the peace of mind that I really wanted.

Hopefully, that peace of mind will endure after a couple months of using the knife. I sure do like it.

S35VN is a great steel, probably my favorite. I like the extra toughness over S30V.

I have a Para 3 and a Native 5 in S35VN. I haven't pulled the trigger on a value folder in it yet though. I keep hoping to find a good deal on a blue Resilience. I just wish they'd offer blue G10 in the value folder line with the upgraded steel.

Got a Military 2 sprint in S90V/CF on the way. This is the only one in the line I haven't tried, so if I'm not a fan of this one I think that'll just be it with the entire series.

Just ordered my first Manbug, the micro-melt PD#1 burgundy FRN sprint run. Like 8th_Note said, too good a deal to pass up.

Thanks, Man :) I should have practiced on a piece of junk but I went for it and did a crappy job of acid etch. It doesn't look very good and I'm being generous about that. But, it oughta do the job of holding oil a bit better and the best thing is nobody is gonna wanna steal it :D

Just got this knife in and Modified with burnt bronze AWT - aggressive scales, a slotted Black Flytanium Titanium ball cage. Still need to profile the bevels to 15 dps and get them all nice and like the Razor I expect.

Here is a few pix for a looksee. One of my tail ropes and honing is up next.
